OnCuePay
Get paid on cue.
DJs, MCs and live hosts get paid for song requests, shoutouts and dedications. Guests scan a QR code and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, with no app or account needed. The card is only charged once the host plays the request.
The problem
Live hosts get asked for songs and shoutouts all night, usually for free. Taking cash is awkward, payment links get ignored, and guests don't want to pay for something that might never happen.
What we built
- Payments held when the request is made and only charged once it is played
- Automatic refunds when a request is declined or not played
- Payouts straight to the host through Stripe Connect
- Live request queue on desktop and mobile, with alerts
- Dispute protection for guests and hosts
- Custom request types and prices, plus exportable earnings records

The problem
CVs and job titles say very little about how someone actually works. Stories give people a way to show their journey in their own words, and give everyone they meet something real to go on.
