Solutions Engineer Interns work at the intersection of engineering, data and Pinterest’s advertising and revenue ecosystem. They contribute to scoped technical projects that improve tools, workflows, integrations and support experiences for internal teams, advertisers and partners. The role offers exposure to real engineering work, cross-functional collaboration and responsible AI-assisted workflows, including applying judgment and verification to AI-supported work. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to see how technology drives customer and business impact. You’ll partner with engineers, data and analytics specialists, product stakeholders and go-to-market teams; learn how ambiguous operational problems become reliable technical solutions; and gain hands-on experience across coding, debugging, data analysis, automation, documentation and system design. What you’ll do: Complete assigned technical projects with attention to quality, incorporating feedback from your mentor, manager and peers Execute scoped technical tasks end-to-end that contribute to Pinterest products and infrastructure Build, test, debug, and improve code, scripts, automations, internal tools or data workflows using guidance from experienced engineers. Investigate technical issues using logs, data, documentation and structured troubleshooting; help identify root causes, validate solutions and communicate findings. Participate in scheduled engineering on-call coverage during regular workdays and working hours, with guidance from experienced engineers, to help triage and document issues. Partner with Engineering, Product, Sales, Operations and Support teams and, where relevant, communicate directly with external partners to understand requirements, clarify technical questions and contribute to practical solutions.
